Noor Berens – Chairwoman
Hoi! Mijn naam is Noor, ik ben 22 jaar en sinds september 2018 zit ik bij het ESK! Ik zit in het derde jaar van de studie Logopedie en daarnaast wilde ik graag meer doen in Rotterdam. Omdat ik van zingen hou, leek het me enorm leuk om bij het koor te gaan. Naast het zingen hebben we ook erg gezellige activiteiten, dus heb ik een hoop leuke meiden in Rotterdam leren kennen dankzij het koor! Sinds augustus 2019 ben ik de voorzitter van het koor geworden.
Als voorzitter ben ik verantwoordelijk voor de organisatie en coördinatie van het koor. Samen met mijn medebestuursleden zorg ik ervoor dat alles binnen het koor op rolletjes loopt. Hi! My name is Noor, I’m 22 years old and I joined the ESK in September 2018. I’m a third-year student of Speech and Language pathology, and I wanted to find a hobby in Rotterdam besides my studies. Because I love singing, joining the choir was the perfect opportunity for me! Besides singing we regularly have very fun activities, so I now know a lot of amazing girls in Rotterdam! In August 2019 I became chairwoman of the choir.
As chairwoman I’m responsible for the organization and coordination of the choir. Together with my fellow boardmembers I make sure everything is running smoothly. If you have a question as (possible) member about the choir, I’m more than happy to help you here or through our e-mail.
Marina Cheffe – Secretary
Hallo! Mijn naam is Marina, ik ben 23 jaar oud en kom uit het verre Brazilië. Ik ben in 2018 naar Rotterdam gekomen en doe momenteel een premaster in Arts, Culture & Society bij Erasmus universiteit. Ik ging bij het koor in hetzelfde jaar dat ik in Nederland aankwam, omdat ik van muziek hou en dit voelde als de perfecte gelegenheid om mijn passie te delen met gelijkgestemde mensen!
Vanaf 2019 ben ik de secretaris van het koor, wat betekent dat ik verantwoordelijk ben voor het contacteren van leden, het bijhouden van de aanwezigheid tijdens repetities en het organiseren van de open repetities en audities voor nieuwe leden.Dus als je interesse hebt in het koor als een potentieel lid, kan je contact met mij opnemen (via de website of de koor-e-mail) en ik help je graag verder!
Hello! My name is Marina, I’m 23 years old and I come from far-away Brazil. I came to Rotterdam in 2018 and I’m currently doing a premaster’s in Arts, Culture & Society at Erasmus. I joined the choir the same year I arrived in the Netherlands because I love music and this felt like the perfect opportunity to share my passion with people who felt the same way!
Starting in 2019, I am the Secretary of the choir, which means I am responsible for contacting members, keeping track of attendance during rehearsals as well as organizing the open rehearsals and auditions for new members. Adriana Mockovčáková – Public Relations
Hallo! Ik ben Adriana, een 19-jarige tweedejaars psychologiestudent uit Slowakije! Ik maak deel uit van het koor sinds ik in september 2018 naar Rotterdam kwam en sindsdien is mijn liefde voor muziek nog meer gegroeid! Al mijn hele leven breek ik willekeurig uit in gezang, maar dankzij koor is het nu steeds een aanstekelijk koorliedje, waar mijn kamergenoten weleens moordneigingen van krijgen.
Ik word vaak beschouwd als een Slavische grootmoeder, met het ouderwetse face-to-face contact als mijn favoriete vorm van communicatie, maar ik ben dol op alle soorten communiceren! Ik ben daarom erg blij dat ik in de rol van Public Relations de verantwoordelijkheid heb, om nauw contact te onderhouden met de partners van het koor en voor het creëren van nieuwe banden!
Hello there! I’m Adriana, a 19-year-old 2nd year Psychology student from Slovakia! I’ve been part of the choir ever since I came to Rotterdam in September 2018, and since then, my love for music has grown even more! I’ve always been the one to randomly break out into song, only now, my fellow roommates occasionally have the urge to strangle me, because I keep singing the same catchy choir songs all day long!
I am considered to be a Slav grandmother, with the old-fashioned face to face contact as my favorite form of communication, but boy do I love to communicate! It’s an honor to have the responsibility of maintaining close contact with the external partners of the choir, as well as creating new long-lasting ties!
Iris Verweij – Treasurer
Hi, ik ben Iris, ben 22 jaar, en ben net begonnen aan de master Business Analytics and Quantitative Marketing. In 2015 ben ik lid geworden van dit koor, omdat ik graag zing en het mij leuk leek om dit samen met andere studenten te doen. Sinds Augustus 2019 ben ik penningmeester en ben dus verantwoordelijk voor de financiën van het koor.
Het toffe van dit koor is dat we naast zingen ook allerlei activiteiten doen, zoals een gala, etentjes, en een weekendtrip. Dus als je van zingen en gezelligheid houdt, dan is dit koor zeker iets voor jou!
Hi, my name is Iris. I am 22 years old, and I just started the master degree Business Analytics and Quantitative Marketing. I have been a member of this choir since 2015, because I like to sing and wanted to sing with other students. Since August 2019, I am the treasurer in the board. So I am responsable for the finances of the choir. The amazing thing of this choir is that, besides singing, we also do a lot of activities, like a gala, dinners, and a weekend trip. So if you like to sing and have fun, than this choir is definitely something for you!
Bianca Meijer – Marketing
Heya!! Mijn naam is Bianca, ik ben 20 jaar oud en zit in mijn tweede jaar van de bachelor Psychologie. Zingen en muziek maken is altijd een passie van mij geweest en toen ik het koor vorig jaar tegenkwam dacht ik, hé dat is wat voor mij. Nu, een jaar later, leek het me ontzettend tof om meer te kunnen betekenen voor het koor. Natuurlijk breng ik voldoende tijd door op sociale media en nu mag ik het ook met een doel doen. Heya!! My name is Bianca, a 20 year old who’s currently in her second year of studying psychology. Singing and making music has always been a passion of mine and when I heard of the choir last year I thought, that’s something for me! Now, a year later, I really wanted to do more for the choir. Of course, I spend loads of time on social media and now I am actually doing it for a reason.
